Minesh Patel

Partner Commercial Property; acquisitions, disposals, development of retail, leisure, office industrial and investment properties; providing support for corporate transactions; specialist in licensed properties.

Minesh qualified in 1989 and following 10 years in the City at Goodman Derrick and Field Fisher Waterhouse, joined stevensdrake to develop the commercial property team. He is a member of the Unity Club and an Equity Partner at stevensdrake.

Minesh has over 25 years experience in the licensed leisure property, pubs, restaurants, hotels and care home sectors over this period, acting for listed and private companies, Government Departments and private business owners. His practice covers acquisitions, disposals, development, and financing of such business space.

A Client, the Chief Engineer of a Formula One World Championship Winner said:

“Minesh stayed focused calm and collected working under tremendous pressure to win a contract race for us in Christmas 2011. His work ethic is on par with anyone in my Formula One Team and I have no hesitation in recommending him.”

Client, Yaser Martini had this to say:

“Minesh is responsive, listens well, understands quickly and delivers great advice. His judgement is sound and I trust him implicitly. I am happy to write this testimonial after my first hand experience of having worked with him for 20 years on both commercial matters and also for our private family affairs. Minesh and his team of lawyers have become the “go to” people for so much of what we do; he has long been in my ‘favourites’ on my mobile and on my speed dial at the office. I have no hesitation
in recommending him and his team at stevensdrake.”

Hotels Agent, Andrew Moore of Christie + Co says:

“Minesh’s passion for getting deals done quickly and sensibly shines through. His team are friendly, approachable and always available to talk to. When deals get entrenched, they find good solutions, seeing both sides of any problem dispassionately. He’s good to have on board whether acting for a seller or the buyer!”

And from the client on the opposite side to a recent transaction:

“Minesh, a short note to thank you for your customary professional attention in facilitating the above letting. It is beyond refreshing to work with a counter-party and its solicitor who are as trusting as they are able to take sensible commercial views on issues arising in the best interests of completing the transaction. We are flattered by your own and your client’s trust in [us]. Such confidence motivates [us] and [our] advisers to strive to ensure that we go ‘the extra mile’ to behave with unimpeachable professionalism and integrity towards [our] tenants and their advisers and, as [your client] said to me a month or so ago, “to render unto others as we would have unto ourselves”. If only other tenants and folk in life generally could aspire to work as we have done and continue to do, the world would be a happier and more successful place. Thank you for your exemplary role in this letting. We wish your client a happy and prosperous tenure. With all good wishes. Yours, Jeremy”
