Under a settlement agreement, an employee will typically be asked to settle any claims that they may have against their employer in return for a lump sum cash payment (and perhaps a few other sweeteners besides).

If you are an employee who has been offered a settlement agreement, you will need to take independent legal advice on the terms and effect of that agreement. We can provide this advice.

In these sorts of situations, we understand that you are likely to be concerned about the cost of taking legal advice. However, your settlement agreement will normally include a promise from your employer that they will make a contribution towards the legal fees that you incur. As a result, you may not have to pay us a penny for the help that we provide.
