Crawley to benefit from free legal clinic

Crawley solicitors, stevensdrake are to start offering Crawley a free Legal Clinic to provide advice relating to Family Law. Starting on November 27th, the Clinic will be available each Tuesday between 13:00 - 17:30 and will be run by Solicitors Peter Alison and Hana Khodabocus. Both have experience in a broad range of matrimonial matters including divorce, collaborative law and pre-nuptial agreements, as well as issues relating to children. The free Clinic will be offering clear and practical advice in situations that can be stressful and emotional. Commenting, Peter Alison said: “The Family Law team here handle the full range of situations relating to the likes of divorce including financial settlements and recognise the importance of key issues such as pension sharing within the split of family assets. The team oversee divorces and nullity proceedings of all types, including those with an international element. Our initial sessions will help people with some initial friendly guidance upon which they can make better informed decisions”. Hana added: “The team pride themselves on being very active in resolving all manner of disputes involving children, including private residence, contact and parental responsibility disputes. Sensitive to the emotional issues involved, we take all necessary steps to conclude disputes as amicably as possible”. During the free sessions the team will be able to assist with issues such as:

  • Divorce Proceedings
  • Associated financial settlement
  • Children matters (contact or residence)
  • Cohabitation disputes
  • Consent Orders
  • Sharia law
  • Options available on the breakdown of a marriage
  • Pre-nuptial agreements

The clinic will be open every Tuesday (13.00 – 17.30) with up to 30 minutes for each appointment, and last appointments being at 17.00. Appointments can be booked in advance by calling 01293 596959 or you are free to simply drop in.  People are asked to bring ID (passport / driving licence / utility bill) with them to the appointment.
