Dispute Resolution week

Family Law

This week is Dispute Resolution week promoted by Resolution, a week for promoting alternatives to court action to resolve disputes over finances or arrangements for children.

Peter Alison is a qualified collaborative lawyer and is able to assist in dealing with your problems in a non-confrontational manner and at a cost much less than the traditional court process.  Furthermore, since the removal of legal aid from family cases in all but the most exceptional cases, the courts have suffered a massive slowdown in processing cases and to deal with your issues via the court can take up to 18 months, whereas the collaborative process can take mere weeks, as we say at a fraction of the cost.

Please take a look at Resolution’s press release for this week focussing on what children think about the prospect of their parents separating which does make interesting reading.
