Settlement Agreements

We regularly act for both employers and employees in the drafting and negotiation of settlement agreements (previously known as compromise agreements).  Under a settlement agreement, an employee will typically be asked to settle any claims that they may have against their employer in return for a lump sum cash payment (and perhaps a few other sweeteners besides).

If you are an employer who wishes to offer one of your employees a settlement agreement, we can advise you on the benefits and pit-falls of this approach.  We can also advise you on the right financial offer to make and the terms that should be attached.

HR & Employment Law Training

We can provide a range of training sessions, covering a wide variety of employment law issues.  Our sessions can be run for groups of all sizes or even for individuals.  We adopt an informal approach and encourage attendees to ask questions throughout.  This helps us to concentrate on the issues that interest you the most, ensuring that you get the most out of the experience.
