Mock Tribunal – A real success

Employment Law

On 25 April 2013, stevensdrake ran a mock Employment Tribunal at the Ramada Plaza London Gatwick hotel in Crawley.  The event was attended by people from a wide variety of businesses and backgrounds.   But they came with a single objective in mind; to learn more about the Employment Tribunal process. We were very ably assisted by barristers from 1 Chancery Lane in London, who played the Employment Judge and the representatives for both the Claimant and the Respondent.  Members of the Employment and Business Team at stevensdrake played the various witnesses.  Over the course of a few hours, we showed the delegates precisely how an Employment Tribunal hearing worked: from opening arguments, through examination and cross-examination to closing submission and, ultimately, the judgment. The event was a great success, with everyone finding the experience both enjoyable and educational.  This is just some of the positive feedback that we received: “Very clear and well presented”“I never understood how careful about the detail you have to be before this”

“It was brilliant”“Very informative insight”

“An excellent insight…extremely useful and informative” In addition to running these larger events, stevensdrake are also able to provide in-house training on a variety of employment law issues.
