Legal Cashier

Job Type: Legal Cashier

Salary: Market rate

Experience required:
To excel in this role, it is essential that you have proven experience in a similar role. You
should be adept at prioritising and organising your workload to meet tight deadlines, as well as
demonstrating a good understanding of VAT and AML regulations. You must possess excellent
communication skills and have the ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues
and clients at all levels. Experience in Solicitors Regulatory Authority rules would be preferential but
not a necessity as training will be given.

Billing Coordinator must:
• 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Working knowledge of VAT and AML rules.
• Competent when dealing with complex billing routines.
• Working knowledge of client and office ledgers.
• High attention to details and problem-solving skills.
• Have a polite and professional demeanour, whether over the telephone, in person or in
writing.

Duties
The post-holder’s principal duties will include:
• Support departmental billing function within accounts ensuring all information such as
disbursements/Anticipated disbursements, VAT and time allocation has been correctly
applied.
• Download of statements on to our in-house billing system via HSBC.
•Process Journals, Write offs and time transfers.
• Credit Control – Responsible for the collection of outstanding bills for all departments via
email, phone, and letters.
• Purchase ledger – Input large volume of invoices on to Liberate billing system. Ensuring
strict controls are in place. Reconcile statements weekly.
• Input of daily transaction – cash, cheques, standing orders and credit cards.
• Process court fees.
• Take full control of the Direct Debit banking system.
• Reconcile daily work. (Previous day)
• Formulate billing reports for clients.
• Process credit card payments via phone.
• Answer bill related queries when they arise.
• Additional tasks within the Accounts Team may be assigned as needs require or as training
and experience allow.

Qualifications and skills:
The post-holder will require the following:
• Excellent computer skills, including knowledge and experience of Excel (Pivot tables
desirable) and outlook.
• Working knowledge of VAT and AML rules.
• Excellent communication and people skills (written, verbal and over the telephone)
• Good time management skills and the ability to prioritise work.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility and a willingness to be a good team player.

Family Lawyer

Job Type: Full-time, permanent

Salary: Market rate

Job Summary

We are currently seeking a family Law specialist to join our team.  The role would suit a solicitor or legal executive with 3-5 years’ PQE.  The successful candidate will work closely with our Head of Department and will enjoy a varied caseload.

The candidate will have existing experience of handling all family law matters, including divorce, separation, ancillary relief, civil partnerships, children issues, cohabitation issues and pre/post-nuptial agreements.  They will be comfortable running their own cases independently from start to finish and with minimal supervision.  Some advocacy experience would also be preferable, although not essential.

The position is available immediately.
