Conveyancing Paralegal - Post Exchange

Job Type: Full-time, permanent

Salary: Market rate

Job Summary

We are currently seeking a paralegal to provide support to lawyers working in our residential conveyancing team.  The role would suit someone with a minimum of 3 years’ experience of working within a busy residential conveyancing team.  You will have a sound understanding of the conveyancing process, with particular emphasis on the post-exchange through to post-completion stage.

You must have good communication and IT skills and must be numerate and have a good eye for detail.  You must have the ability to work flexibly both independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision and with the ability to think on your feet.  The ability to prioritise you workload and work to tight deadlines, whilst remaining calm under pressure, is also essential.

The role involves setting matters down for completion to include:

•             file preparation after exchange
•             completion day procedures
•             submitting and paying stamp duty land tax
•             obtaining Land Registry Searches
•             registration of matters at the Land Registry
•             finalising post-registration matters
•             attending to file reconciliation and closure
•             helping with all other administrative duties
•             complying with all principles, procedures and standards set by the firm/SRA/CQS/CML and anti-money laundering rules

Family Lawyer

Job Type: Full-time, permanent

Salary: Market rate

Job Summary

We are currently seeking a family Law specialist to join our team.  The role would suit a solicitor or legal executive with 3-5 years’ PQE.  The successful candidate will work closely with our Head of Department and will enjoy a varied caseload.

The candidate will have existing experience of handling all family law matters, including divorce, separation, ancillary relief, civil partnerships, children issues, cohabitation issues and pre/post-nuptial agreements.  They will be comfortable running their own cases independently from start to finish and with minimal supervision.  Some advocacy experience would also be preferable, although not essential.
