stevensdrake are a well-established firm of solicitors based in Crawley, West Sussex and we are looking for an ambitious Senior Conveyancing Solicitor or Partner to manage a healthy caseload and develop our busy and profitable conveyancing team.

Established in 1792, we are a Legal 500 rated firm. We work hard to provide exceptional one on one service at reasonable cost across all our teams. Our conveyancing team has an excellent flow of work from existing and new clients with referrals from various agents, financial advisers and lenders as well as internal referrals.

Job Role

We are looking for a personable experienced solicitor or Fellow Legal Executive capable of managing a busy residential conveyancing caseload looking for the opportunity to drive the department forward and ambition to take on a partnership role. You will be working alongside our commercial property partners who are keen to help you achieve your potential.

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

•             Solicitor or fellow Legal Executive of more than 5 years PDQ

Debt Recovery Assistant

£18,000 - £20,000 a year

Job Summary

stevensdrake are a well-established firm of solicitors based in Crawley, West Sussex. We are excited to present a new vacancy for a Debt Recovery Assistant in our focused but friendly Collections Department. Working alongside a team of paralegals you will learn about debt from the recoveries stage right through to litigation.

The role will require the post-holder to provide debt recovery and administration services for the Department’s clients, ensuring that there is a consistent and professional level of service at all times.

Hours: standard office hours are 09:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities and Duties

Duties will include:

•             Telephone collections;
•             Sending letter/emails;
•             Handling incoming calls and correspondence;
•             General administrative tasks.

Experience of debt recovery, collections or credit control is essential. You will need to demonstrate experience in dealing with people, possibly in a customer service environment. The ideal candidate will be confident in dealing with clients and debtors on the telephone. Training will be provided.

You will need:

•             Computer skills including Internet Explorer and all MS Office programmes;
•             Excellent communication & people skills (written, verbal and telephone);
•             Good negotiation skills;
•             To be target driven;
•             To be a good team player and flexible.
