Employment Law

Here is an offer that you cannot possibly refuse!  You are invited to join the team at stevensdrake for a Mock Employment Tribunal on 25 April 2013 at The Ramada Plaza, London Gatwick.

What does this event involve? Solicitors from stevensdrake and barristers from 1 Chancery Lane, a leading London Chambers, will present a ‘live’ Employment Tribunal hearing.  Over the course of the morning, you will see how a case is presented, how witnesses are examined and cross-examined, how closing submissions are drawn from the evidence and how judgment is given. Why should you attend? Over recent years, there has been a marked increase in the number of Employment Tribunal claims.  As a result, having to defend yourself against such claims is a very real concern.  Even if you have acted entirely lawfully, it can be a complicated and costly process.  This event aims to:

  • de-mystify the Employment Tribunal process;
  • increase your awareness and understanding of how Tribunals work; and
  • show you how they make their decisions.

You will get a unique insight into the workings of an Employment Tribunal hearing, as well as the opportunity to share your views on the proceedings with our specialist employment lawyers. When is it? This event takes place on Thursday 25th April 2013 at the Ramada Plaza London Gatwick Hotel.  Registration commences at 9:30am and the hearing starts at 10:00am.  Tea and coffee will be provided throughout the day, together with a buffet lunch.  The event will finish at about 2:30pm. Places are free but limited, so please email your details to employment@stevensdrake.com as soon as possible if you would like to come along.
